Who We Are

Faith Bridge exists to serve as a total support system for foster/adoptive/kinship families and children/youth whose lives have been affected by foster care. Our mission is two-fold: to support and care for families and continually encourage their success as they fulfill the needs of children in their care; and to meet the immediate, tangible needs of children and youth to help them feel safe, valued, and seen.

Faith Bridge has been approved to sell NAP credits! Your donation may be                                                   eligible for the Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) 70% tax credit.

NAP credits are for those who own businesses, farms, or rental property.

These credits are directly subtracted from your Missouri taxes owed,

beyond your standard federal and state charitable deductions!

The Fountain Gate

The Fountain Gate will be a place of refuge, a place of new beginnings, a place of hope, a place of celebration, and a place of growth for older youth in foster care and those who have recently aged-out or otherwise transitioned out of foster care. Click here to learn more!

Throughout the end of 2023,
we made a push to ensure we are
reaching more kinship families in Missouri.
The term "kinship" applies to any situation where children are living with a family member,
friend, teacher, or other adult
that is not their biological parent. These children are not technically in foster care...but they are.

Sometimes the state is involved
and sometimes it isn't.
Sometimes they get additional assistance and support and sometimes they don't.

We have been making more of an intentional effort to reach kinship families, and our quarterly numbers continue to prove that we are doing just that!

Thank you for your continued prayers and support of Faith Bridge and foster/adoptive/kinship families. It's because of YOU that we are able to what we do!

HiSET Scholarship Fund

Fewer than 50% of youth in foster care will graduate from high school. There are many different reasons for this (youth being moved from placement to placement, youth being placed in a group home or facility and aging-out before finishing high school, not having an adult to encourage them or keep them accountable, etc.), but one thing is the same - without a diploma they are immediately at a disadvantage as a young adult. Many of these youth would love the opportunity to receive their GED, but for someone with little to no resources, the cost is a barrier. Many of us don't think twice about spending $100, but for some of these youth it may as well be $1 million.

Let's fix that.

Will you join me in offering a young adult the chance to better themselves? The chance for decent employment? The chance to continue their education? The chance to be proud of an accomplishment they never thought was possible?!

With your help, we plan to offer a HiSET Scholarship to 25 young adults. Your donation of $25, $50, or a full scholarship of $100 could change the life of a former foster youth!

The Carry On Program

The Carry On Program serves older foster youth and former foster youth who have aged-out or otherwise transitioned out of the foster care system.  We provide furniture, bedding, kitchen and bath items, small appliances, and other home essentials at absolutely NO COST! On average, each client receives approximately $4500 in items for their new apartment.
This serves to alleviate the initial cost of independence for former foster youth and gives them them the freedom to begin adulthood with the things they need.
In 2023, we were able to assist
66 former foster youth with
furniture and household items!

Fourth Quarter Report

In 2023, Faith Bridge provided 171 beds to foster/adoptive/kinship families and
furnished 66 apartments for

aged-out foster youth through the
Carry On Program. Many generous supporters from all around the country
sent household items from our Amazon wishlist, and several pledged funds to help grow the HiSET Scholarship Fund.
In December we partnered with
Rooted242 and I Pour Life to host a Christmas party for older and former foster youth. Los Amigos provided a full buffet-style dinner, and with the help of our generous community, we were able to FILL the wishlists of 19 former foster youth!

Sweet Dreams, Little One

In 2021, Faith Bridge provided 47 beds

for children and youth in care.

In 2022, we provided 98 beds.

In 2023, we provided 171 beds!

Faith Bridge also provides pillows, bedding, stuffed animals,

cozy blankets, pajamas, bonnets, night lights, and anything else

a child may need to be able to rest.

Many children in care have never had a bed of their own,

and all are in a traumatic or crisis situation.

By having the comfort and security of a safe place to sleep,

they can begin their healing process and find rest.

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for You alone, Lord,

make me dwell in safety." Psalm 4:8

Ways We Help

Faith Bridge operates a free Children's Boutique where foster, kinship, and adoptive families can shop for children's clothing, shoes, furniture, bedding, hygiene items, suitcases, backpacks and school supplies, baby items,
diapers, and other necessities for children in their home. Through the Carry On program, Faith Bridge
also provides free household essentials for older youth who age out of the foster care system and move into
their own apartment. Through community partnerships, these older youth are able to participate in
our Co-Pilot mentoring program, support groups, job training, life skills classes, and college-level tutoring.
